Jup it's me!

Today I have some more pictures from my university for you!

I actually took them maybe three weeks ago but I just forgot, that I still had them on my phone!

We had great weather at the day and as we are a christian university, this holy looks suits Aoyama

Gakuin just too well!

 This is on the way to my university! We are located between Shibuya and Omotesando and I just love it!

 Isn't it damn beautiful? I think it looks more like a park than like a university but anyways

 This is one of our four entry gates - I think it is the main gate! I pass it every morning and every evening!

 This is the main "street"to the different buildings! I often sit on the benches while waiting for mimi!

 Last but not least - Holy Aoyama Gakuin! :D


Ok I have some other pics for you - some pictures of what I bought some days ago and of course a picture about my meeting :D Hahaha I can't tell you too much about the meeting sadly but we have had a lot of awesome ideas and if we can get them realized you guys (if you are following MusicJAPANplus and ModeJapan+) Will have a lot of fun soon!!!!!!

I can tell you one thing: It might happen that you see jennis and my face more often on the website then :D

Anyways, we went to Starbucks  - because this is just the best place to have a meeting if you can't get to work :D *laughing*
Later on we had a walk through Takeshita - maybe I post a few pics tomorrow- and omotesando (pictures tomorrow as well) ! :3

I also went to Like an edison because I decided that I should get myself a Cure or Shoxx because if I had no idea what music people like right now, I can't be a good promoter, right?

 I really like this coffee hahaha It tastes good and I think (or at least I pretend) it wakes me up! :3

 We had Lunch at Sturbucks so I ate this bread with cheese and ham and it was awesomely delicious!

 And I tried the new marron pie latte! It's not that awesome in hot but I heared it tastes good in the cold form!

 Already christmas style though :D hahhaa i like it though.....don't know why but it looks cute!

 And my second coffee-no actually it wasn't coffee but Chai tea latte which has this strong cinnamon taste and this makes it really christmas like and also i got this cute snowmaaaaan :3

５番♪ Some information about Aoyama Gakuin and Insurances

♥ Dear Ladies and Gentlemen ♥

I am back!
With some news and some things I would really like to talk about today!
 Let's start with university!

As I already said I am studying at Aoyama Gakuin right now - and I really like the university until now!
Sadly I am not allowed to take any pictures -sorry for that - if you have time please make sure to visit the campus in Shibuya!!!
Everybody may go there and it is awesome! Looks a little bit like some park!

Anyways let's talk about the orientation!
First of all we met at a room above the IEC - it was pretty easy to find even though the campus is quite large!
We got to meet the staff  - and their english is just amazing!
Over three days we got to know them better, got to know our tutors, wrote a placement test and got information about living in Japan, mobile phones and insurances (I will come back to that later again though ...)

All in all I think the orientation was quite good!
Of course there were some things we didn't get any information about but .... can't be helped...

the Placement Test was pretty difficult - or at least this is what I thought.
I really felt like a loser at the end of the test. I can't even tell you why (oh maybe because I forgot all of my kanji in a second?! :D) but I was quite sure I failed.... though I got into level 3- which is pretty good as I will study for JLPT 2 from now on Oo
I am already afraid though ..
There are 4 japanese classes I have to attend to and also culture and politics and japanology...

We also got a calendar! :D
I took a picture - actually I kinda like it! I will show you the pic next time though! stay tuned !At the "fan-shop"(i call it like that) you can get everything with aoyama gakuin logo on it - for example a HELLO KITTY!!! I really want to get that one :D


Sooooo yeah
I needed to get back to the City Hall to get my National Health Insurance card and I was pretty nervous - as you might know japanese people tend to hate talking in english and it was not different at the hall - and for me the japanese spoken there is pretty difficult!!!
I had to wait for about 20 minutes until I got to the desk - luckily the woman there was really nice and helped me out a lot! And also she talked in a way I could easily understand!
As a matter of fact after about 30 minutes I finally got my card and now i am officially in the insurance

BUT

and this is a big but here! So this is the problem:

When we arrived in Japan i kinda cought a cold (or something like that) and instead of getting better it got worse and worse and I really wanted to see a doctor as (mainly in the evening) my throat is swollen and I can't breath properly anymore.
As I wasn't part of NHI I would have had to pay a lot of money so I waited and waited until I was able to get the card -

as my japanese is not too good until now I really wanted to meet a german or english speaking doctor which is why i tried to get information about international clinics - and I got them 

a lot of them (not to say most of them) don't accept the NHI!!!!!!!!!

I was really shocked when I got to know that =_=
I was so angry

Because normaly you would like to understand what they are telling you, right?
Ok  so in the end I decided that I would even go to see a japanese doctor BUT then i got to know something else:

in a lot of clinics the doctor has exactly 3 minutes time for a patient with NHI insurance ! you might say "that's a lie, right?"
but it is not. it is the truth. without the insurance you may have about 20 minutes.
With NHI you can't even get examined. If you would like to have this "special service" (excuse me?!) you need to tell them before and pay more at some clinics - like.. seriously?! what the fuck ...

Anyways it's not all clinics but a lot of them.
So I decided on two and wanted to make appointments there but then I got a mail -

A few days ago I wrote an e-mail to a half-japanese doctor in tokyo and asked him for advice.
He was really helpfull and told me to come on friday - they accept NHI and I don't have to pay too much even though I am there for the first time! (a lot of clinics charge money if you go there without medical letter....)
so i only have to pay the 30 percent AND will be able to understand what the hell is going on with my body :D

I am really happy about this development - as you can see I was really stressed by this kind of thing. It's not like I feel deadly ill but I am just so tired and feel a bit weak and my throat hurts so I just want to get things done - and I think it's good to get to know a doctor in case you need one again ....

so anyways please consider one thing before coming to japan : which insurance is the right one??

If you go to Aoyama you need to join the NHI though but remember:

• the insurance pays only 70 %
• you might be charged some "first time visit" money at a hospital
• international hospitals often don't accept NHI
• if you are member of the NHI some international insurances will not work anymore

４番♪ First day of University and some presents I got before

So yeah I went to university today - but more about that later!
First of all I would like to show you some things I got from my sister who went to Kyoto just recently!
She and her friend went to the Ghibli-Store and this is what I got :

 IT'S SO CUTE!!!! It's Jiji from Kikis Delivery Service and I really LOVE THAT CAT!!!!! I absolutly fell in love with it in an instance T^T I can't say thank you enough actually ;; *sobs*

Also I got something else because today I had my placement test, right?

Sadly I think it didn't work too well in the end as I didn't really get too many things right in the test anyways. I don't have the result yet, but I really felt like crying after all.......


Oh and I got a letter from KOREA!!!! Thank you so much !!! ♥♥♥
I was really really happy when I got it!!!

Isn't it cuuuuute? I will use it when studying for sure - if I ever decide to study..... I don't feel like doing so at all =.=




Ok so ... I really wanted to take some pictures, but sadly I am not allowed to do so on the campus so - I will just tell you what happend.
So in the beginning we got our studentscards at the international office. Later we all went to some room upstairs to get a brief introduction of the ICEs staffmembers and met our tutors. Our tutors have about 2 or 3 buddys, which makes it a bit difficult actually.
But my tutor is really cute!!!! We decided on going shopping one day :D
Anyways they showed us around, but we didn't have too much time so we went to eat together at the cafeteria!
It was OK but not the best.... I mean ....well it was ok :D

After that we had to take the test. It's my own fault that I didn't study kanjis anymore so yeah well. whatever. but the other questions were pretty difficult as well and I think I didn't really get too much of what was asked.
I even had some kind of a blackout but that's (as well) my own fault...
in the end it's like that and we will see :)
I don't think we will be in the same classes though, which makes me kinda sad actually but...yeah, as already said - it's my own fault in the end :)


So yeah there's not more to tell!
I went out with a good friend of mine, a friend of his and my sister and her friend later to get something to eat - which was really nice, but as I was already pretty tired my head started spinning after some time - this is why i went home!
University starts late today so I can take a proper rest anyways -
I have to recover from the test- shock - it still makes me cry (well nearly) when thinking about it.
If I had studied more I would have been in a better level, right?
But it can't be changed now......
It really can't...

Some Information provided by the Aoyama Daigaku

Few days - (weeks? :D) ago we got a package provided by the Aoyama Gakuin!
First of all - and most importantly- we got our CoE - Certificate of Eligibility - which we need to apply for our visa! This is why we all have waited for it more or less impatiently :D

Anyways mine arrived pretty early (compared to the students from other universitys) and we also got some other information about Aoyama and life in Japan in general.
I would like to share some with you as I think it is very important to know some things before heading to Japan, right?

So first of all I took some pictures :D 
These are only interesting for the next aoyama-students though ;)

 So this is the Booklet we got! It includes our Schedule for the orientation week and some information about the university itself - for example how to get their by train and - even more important- a plan of all the rooms! It's written in Japanese and Englisch which makes it much easier for me, as I am kinda lazy and hence are not to keen on reading that in Japanese to be honest :D

 So this is the mentioned plan of the rooms!(sorry it's a bit small but can't be helped :P you will get your own when you are accepted at Ao!)
As you might know there are to campuses building the Aoyama Gakuin! One is placed in the middle of Shibuya, the other one is in Sagamihara which is about 1 hour from Shibuya (I think)!

Exchange students from LU will study at the Shibuya Campus though - which is pretty convenient, isn't it?

Ok, so we got another Booklet telling us what to do when we arrive in Japan. 
I think the most important thing is that since some years (it was different when i went to Japan for one year the first time) you don't need to go to the office to get your so called "alien registration card" but you can get it at the airport already!

Pretty convenient! You have to go the office there and get it and that's it! Also if you guys want to work, that's maybe the time to get a permission! You can do it later and go to the city office but I guess the airport is more convenient! If you have that permission you don't need to make any use of it anyway, but you always have the opportunity to earn some extra money - which is in japan pretty much!
With a student visa you may earn something about 1000 euro (or at least I was told so. I am not 100 % sure wether this is true or not, so please check before!)

Also you should make sure wether your university allows working or not - most of them simply don't care as long as it doesn't mean you don't show up at university anymore!
Though check their websites! Some universities are rather strict about rules and such ^^ 
Just to avoide problems find it out :)

Well that's more or less the most important thing right now :)
Also I am going out now for shopping with my cute friend, as we first of all have not too much time anymore and secondly I want to spend some more time with her!
